A Message From Jack…

This is the original Old Tavern Fish Sandwich that originated at Tom Raymond’s Tavern in Sesser, Illinois.  Tom’s son-in-law, Pete, always told me “You’ve got to fix the fish the same way every time using our special breading, the hamburger dill pickles, the onion slices, the fresh white bread”, and a couple of other secrets that I can’t mention.  He said that some people want tartar sauce, but they must use our special “top secret” ketchup to make it a real Old Tavern Fish Sandwich.  He told customers to,  “Go on down the street if you want tartar sauce on a fish sandwich”.  However, here at Jack Russell Fish Company, we will provide the tartar sauce if you insist on screwing up the sandwich.  The old customers, the ones that have “been there” know what I mean.  If you try our fish sandwich and you don’t like it, you never will, “cause we ain’t changing it.”  Try one of our other top quality entrees.  If you love it, like thousands of other people do, you can count on us to keep the same recipe and quality forever, that’s a promise.  Enjoy your meal and have some fun!
